Quiz Night - 14th November 2015
Nearly 50 parents, friends and staff were put to the test last Saturday at a quiz evening organised by the Friends of Forest Bridge School.
Quizmaster, Will 'Mastermind' Temple and his trusty assistant Paul, encouraged us to hone our quizzing skills and rack our brains for a fun night of friendly competition. The last round saw two teams leading the field but, with a final flurry of superior musical knowledge, the outright winner was decided and duly rewarded.
Thanks to those who provided refreshments throughout the evening to keep us going and Matt and Nat at the bar who did a great job making sure we didn't dehydrate!
Local businesses donated some fabulous raffle prizes thanks to Geraldine's persistence and they were beautifully wrapped by Andrea. Thanks also to Miranda, Charlotte and Tracy for their help both before and after the event which raised almost £650.
Altogether, an enjoyable and successful evening and, hopefully, the first of many.
Wine Quiz with Richard Bampfield
Our fundraising began in January 2015 with a Wine Quiz hosted by Richard Bampfield, Master of Wine.
The evening, sponsored by Lidl and generously supported by many local businesses, parents, friends and family, was not only great fun but also an amazing success!
We raised over £3,000 which marked a highly positive start to our fundraising adventure.
Royal Parks Half Marathon
It is not too late to sponsor John Mason (Ralph’s dad) who ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11th October to raise money for the school. He ran it in a magnificent 1hour 46mins which is his personal best! John has so far raised more than £2,400 and his employer, UBS will very generously add a further £400 to this. More details and photos will be on our FoFBS website.
A big well done and thank you to John – we won’t be challenging you to a ‘dad’s race’ any time soon!
If you have a few pounds to spare, please help us raise John’s total by donating at:
